Summer League starts June 4th –August 6th at Champions Park every Tuesday from 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM with the EOST on Saturday Aug 10th from 10:30 AM –TBA.  This is a 7v7 coed league with a 5-2 gender ration, and is our most completive season.  Team records, rankings, and stats will be kept and published to the website.  Jerseys will be provide after teams are solidified. 

Please register online and fill out all the information correctly to make sure you are placed on a team.

Bluegrass State Games Ultimate Frisbee Hat Tournament

A note from Matt Brown: 

The Bluegrass State Games Ultimate Frisbee Hat Tournament or BGSGUFHT for short, only has space for five teams and individual teams will be capped between 12-15 players. Registration will be on a first come, first served basis so register early if you know you are attending.  Below you will find all the details you need to get signed up, contact Matt Brown if you have any questions.

Pick-up Games Every Wednesday

Don't forget there is regular pick-up Ultimate played every Wednesday during the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Games are at 5:30 pm until dark at Cherokee Park, near the archery range.  See you there!

CAKE is Coming to Louisville!!!

The upcoming 2013 Club Ultimate season is fast approaching! This year our Kentucky based mixed team, CAKE, would like to make a few changes in an attempt to make the team more sustainable. We would like to base the team out of Louisville even though it will be a mixed team made out of players from all over the Kentucky area. By doing this it is our hope to build a strong partnership with the LUFA organization and help the Ultimate community grow in our region. Much like last summer we plan on holding one full team practice and attending one tournament every month from June-September.

Indoor Ultimate National Championship Series

This is the email I got from the National Director for Indoor Utimate.

Greetings,

In case you haven't heard, there is a new game in town, or at least a new National Championship Series, with Regional qualifiers taking place all over the country and a 24 team National Championship tournament in Randolph, NJ on April 6-7.  

Kentucky is in the Great Lakes Region, which will be having its Regional tournament in Grand Rapids, MI on March 16th.  

The series will be played 5v5, with a 3-2 gender ratio, a 6 second stall count, continuous play and subbing on the fly, which all makes for a fun,

A special thanks to Christian Lauria (General Manager of Mockingbird Valley Soccer Club), MVSC, Kentucky Country Day and everyone who participated in indoor ultimate!  The LUFA board hopes to organize again for next winter and make this a regular part of official calendar.
